Works for Collingwood

Very underated, far from the best in his side but always gives a contest and is rarely beaten by his opponent

Dangerfield: 0 Tackles. Played up forward, no pressure at all inside forward 50
Johncock: 0 Tackles, played in backline, where ball was alot and still didnt register. Zero tackles and 8 kicked on him.
Rutten: 0 Tackles, same as Johncock, without the 8 goals
Reilly: 0 tackles, played in Midfield, maybe a tagger. Not exceptable
Vince: 0 Tackles, played 93% match time,in the midfield for no tackles.
Tambling:1 tackle, played off a back flank,90% game time, backline busy all night. :?

Dont think ive ever seen a side with 5 players not registering a tackle! If you dont lay a tackle, are you even trying?[/quote]

Lack on effort on your defensive side, that is all, very simple thing to do is to chase and tackle.

poor coaching performance to let Goddard & Del Santo run around in the back half chipping it to each other setting up play.

Letting Goddard go is poo. His disposal is very good, and teams that beat the saints will typically clamp down on him for that reason.

I just asked this same question in the "crows only" area but I am curious to peoples thoughts about the possibility of a senior coach (like Malthouse) coaching say the Crows but living in Melbourne still? could this be a possibility in todays game? I think that the senior coach would need to be here for the main sessions and also game day but does he actually have to live in SA to do this?

A head coach at that level would be required 5-6 days a week minimum one would think, so no it couldn't possibly work

It wont work. The coach needs to be around the traps. Players need to have access to him and vice versa.

Who knows? In these days of technology, anything is possible, but a coach would have to have tremendous faith in his support staff to pull it off.

That is why I was thinking of it to be honest, also because unless the crows get a local guy it is a tough gig to get anyone to actually want to come and live here! I think this is an issue for both the crows and the power for getting players and keeping them here also.
