Koschitzke gets wacked 2 weeks for his tackle on saturday night on Duncan. What a joke this comp is becoming.   Correction..has become.

Knee jerk reaction because Duncan got up a little groggy. Accidents/collisions happen on the footy field and are part of the game.

Franklin was lucky though, while Corey was too (in light of Kosi's verdict)

My conspiracy theory is better. The 'AFL doesn't want the Cats in the top four theory'

Draw - ******
MRP - ******
Free Kick Ratio (Despite Selwood's efforts) - ******

but - Stokesy shouldn't have done what he did...still....surprised Buddy didn't get more.

I know my theory is a tad out there like most of my thinking ;)

But is it a surprise that the player most people on here considered got the 'luckiest' at the tribunal also happens to be the most high profile of the lot.

I think most people consider Chris Judd to also have got a fairly decent run at the tribunal the last few years as well.

In all seriousness though and sorry to the AFL lovers out there but it is a joke of a competition.

How can a young player with a perfect record get three weeks for what could almost be described as a perfect tackle, that he would have been taught from the beginning of his junior career. While another bloke with a tribunal history can get a third of the suspension for a raised elbow, no intent for the ball and contact to the head.

Sorry AD you have lost someone who has helped make your billion dollar tv rights deal a possibility by watching most games every weekend.

Im turning off!!!!!

At the risk of raising the rose-coloured Hawthorn supporters ire, what an absolute joke for "Money" Franklin to get one game... One? That's the EXTRA game they should be tacking on PURELY based on his priors... Forget what he gets for the offence...

@ redden whites

He still has a poor record though. 40% increase and the penalty is still 1 game.

Answer this-

Do you think a player who raises his elbow slightly after the play and makes contact with the head and has a previous record at the tribunal should get 3 times less than a player with a perfect record who accidently injuries a player by making a perfect tackle?

Shouldn't be suspended for the 'perfect tackle' full-stop [-x

What most of you Buddy bashers are forgetting is that his "record" is littered with rubbish suspensions. He was the first to go when the Soft asses started taking the bump out of the game (Ben Cousins bump) and I'd suggest other suspensions were due to 'head high contact', one of which on Akermanis was an absolute joke.

Ironically, I reakon this one was probably the one that was due a 2-3 week holiday as it was stupid and unnecessary...

Haven't seen footage of it TBH

It's a worry that club's medical reports are used as evidence now. It's almost as though the outcome of the action is far more significant when it comes to the tribunal ruling than the action itself.

yep dont tackle someone the way you have learnt since a kid just in case you hurt them but its fine to raise the elbow and hit someone provided you only do minimal damage.

AFL have got their wires F**ked, they might as well not report anyone for 'attempted' striking as that means the victim wasnt hurt.

Im all full the AFL stance on protecting the head, it has to be done but it has now become a joke. Intent still has to play a major impact on the outcome of a report imho.

Thats the thing, these tackles are deemed suspendable only if the player tackle gets hurt. He stands up straight away and you get off. It's a joke!

 The sooner people turn off their TV's and stop going to games to watch this Demetriou-Anderson fanciful tripe the better. With poor ratings and poor attendances maybe they'd listen to the people and bring back some credibility to the elite side of Australian Rules Football. A good ol fashion strike is in order.

To be honest I thought Buddy was in strife because lets be honest he went there with his elbow up for one reason, to send russel to hospital and thats why I thought based on previous events the "Intent" was there. But look if he only gets a game for it then hes probably luckly, there wasnt really much in it in the end as the impact was pretty much nothing and yes in days gone by it wouldnt have even gotten that far. But you know thats just how it is.......and if your able to work it out then good luck to you. But hey if I was buddy with my bad record, yeah I would be happy-ish with that.
