Couldnt find if he was ever a Top 50, but.....( from Wiki )

"Southern became a Muslim in 2005 after researching Islam whilst living in Egypt. He said that after the 9/11 attacks he felt that "Muslims had received a raw deal" and he began to read more about Islam. He has since married an Egyptian Muslim and is living in Cairo, Egypt."

Sheahan wouldn't know which day it was.

When it's someone like Lethal or perhaps Roos picking the list it would have a great deal more credibility.

Credbility lost. You don't win four Carjis in a side that contained Couch, Ablett, Bairstow, Stoneham and Hinkley if you can't play. West wasn't half the player Hocking was.

REB, Rowey didn't come up with a name that I heard and I can't think of one either.

It's not a slight on the Crows list as such - it's just where the list is at right now. I think he was just trying to get some callers in.

Sheahan... no clue
Franklin would be behind Judd, Ablett, Goddard, Swan

As for the Crows

Yeah probably none in top 50
All still too inconsistent

I mean Dangerfield, Tippet, Van Berlo can have moments of brilliance but none worthy of top50 ... yet

Maybe Johncock

It could be argued that anyone who can assess the strengths and weaknesses of each player, compare them against all the other players, select the best 50, and then place them in order of merit .... maybe they have just a little too much time on their hands :)

I'm sure some bulldog greats like Simon Minton-Connell and Ilija Grgic would of made this list in the 90's

It would be a tough gig for sure. I still reckon the top ten at least should be right but after that yeah you're right.

Ablett's number one surely !! I'm surprised there's even any other rivals considered.
As far as Crows are concerned ---- all too early in their careers after the retirements we've just seen. However, a little further down the track I expect to see names like Dangerfield, Tippett and my favourite young player Rory Sloane all be in there. (but there again it is Sheahan :D )

Overtaken i reckon. IMO goddard and swan are more influential than ablett, he would be 3 for mine.

Rory sloane will be in there in the next 2-3 years. I really like the way he plays.

Whats with all the Montagna love here? He is deadset average and soft as his team mate Nicky DS.

Honestly think a lot of people rate players on their DT/SC output...
