Maybe dont request to go to Darwin then? Blame your club not the AFL

When we play home games interstate I never once complained about traveling 10 times a season because I understood the need. Thankfully this is no longer the case after 2008.
Port requested the games in Darwin, therefore shouldnt complain about the travel IMO.
I know why we dont get more FNF becuase its all about the $$$ but as the founders of it (and the AFL are always keen to push the traditions of the game) I would have though it would be fair to at least have 3 per season, I wouldnt think that would be too much to ask.

Yep, that will never change because you guys are never on FNF or FTA. Perhaps your boys should have gone to the Gold Coast? Relocation hasn't hurt South...and then we would have had GAJudas for another year before he went to West Sydney.![]()

THE AFL has given Collingwood the ideal launching pad for back-to-back premierships, handing them a dream 2011 draw.
The league this morning released a draw which will feature 187 matches played over 24 rounds, with the new side Gold Coast's inclusion extending the AFL's season by a week.
All sides will each play 22 games, with the AFL scheduling 19 rounds where just one team has a bye, and five rounds where three teams are given a week's rest.
The Pies this year powered to a premiership despite playing all of the previous season's top-three teams twice.
Next year, their draw is enticing, with 18 of their 22 games in Melbourne, and no travel until Round 14.
Even their two byes are perfectly placed, with Malthouse's charges given the opportunity to rest up in Rounds 7 and 13.
Their interstate encounters are far from challenging - they play Sydney, the Gold Coast, Port Adelaide and Fremantle in their four trips spaced over the last ten weeks.
But the AFL has acknowledged their rivals' desperation to play the Pies in high-drawing home encounters means they will always have a leg up on rivals.

I'd like to know when Geelong are going to play Collingwood after a skilled game and not coming back from Perth or Brisbane or off a six day break. I'd rather have the week off before we play Collingwood rather than playing them coming off the bye. Shocker of a draw for Collingwood!

Port are better off playing interstate anyway, at least the stadium gets filled then!
Brisbane have got a dream draw - only play the top 4 once.

See how quickly the catch me-scruff me-rugby "faithful" drop off the cellar bound Bears this year. Voss is up against it and the 'Gabba will get as filled about as often as a cheque on Rodney Adlers desk.

They did so in 2007 but that season has proven to be the exception rather than the rule.
2007 avg - 30242
In 2001, a premiership year, they averaged 29913.
The type of crowds Booney has been speaking of were during the 'Bad news Bears' days...
1999 -25,612
1998 -19,913
1997 - 24,468
1996 - 21,311
1995- 16,134
1994 - 14,762
1993 - 13,273
1992 -11,806
1991 - 11,339
1990 - 10,238
1989 - 11,439
1988 - 14,084
1987 - 11,112
The fact remains that Brisbane did not average 30k a game until the 2002 season and have only done so in 6 seasons since their inception. For the record, last year the Lions drew 29k which is a pretty good effort. Whether they maintain that though, that is the question.

Less of a lineup at the Bar. Bloody sooks they are too these Lions fans. Can't get over the fact that the glory days are gone. A bit like I'm going to be like now ha ha.
