Best captain on the field: Judd is just behind Kirk
Worst captain off the field: Judd is the clear winner

I don't.

I have a pet hate of these sort of threads. I see them on BigFooty all the time.

How can any of us know who the worst captain is? If the topic was who the best captain is we'd still have no real idea about it but at least it would be more positive.

REB said it better than I did. To make captain of an AFL club is something only a select few achieve and they wouldn't have the gig unless they offered something to the club most of which we wouldn't even see or know about.

PS: I am not judging anybody I am judging the topic.

So you think people expressing their admiration for Dominic Cassisi is a bad thing?
Sports forums are always about people giving their opinions on who they think is the best and the worst.
None of us know who the worst captain is, none of us know who the premier or the finalists will be, it doesn't mean we can't have a good conversation about our opinoins which a forum is all about.
If you don't like people discussing football or footballers I think you're in the wrong place mate and perhaps you should just not read topics you don't like (or at least not comment) instead of feeling the need to discourage healthy conversation on a great site. You remind me of those 2 old muppets in the box at times or those who complain abouts what on TV whilst watching it!

You're making a mountain out of a mole-hill Wedgie now we are on to our 5th post about it between us.

I think these sort of threads are stupid for the reasons I have stated. End of story. Nothing sinister, no-one being judged. Just my opinion. Stop hyper analysing what I write, jebus. There's never the demons you think are there.

If you don't like what I am posting just ignore it. I am not trying to stop the thread I am expressing my opinion on it which, as you say, is the point of any forum just like this great site.

I'm not, Im just curious why you think us expressing admiration of Dominic Cassisi isn't positive discussion.
Its a really weird thing for you to say.
If its not positive discussion, then is it negative? :?
You've got to remember I said its created SOME good discussion, which you disagreed with, and I just cant see how any reasonably minded person could day such a queer thing.
If you're going to make an outlandish comment then I think asking an explanation is in order otherwise if you can't explain it, why make the comment?
Sorry if you had a bad day mate.

I've had a good day actually Wedgie.

I don't really understand your postive/negative question about Cassisi. It's too complicated for me this late when our 1 year old will no doubt have us up again in 7 hours!

You'll just have to leave me to my queer-ness 8)

I said it created some good discussion, ie the positive comments about Cassisi and the way some of us admire him.
You said it hadn't.
So I'm trying to work out why us admiring Cassisi and being positive about him not being the worst captain is not good discussion, you must disagree vehemently? :?
Or do you just blindly judge what's in an entire thread by looking at the title?

All I said was "I don't". I didn't think it that was a vehement disagreement.

No, I don't think posts defending someone who has been nominated as "worst captain" is good discussion. No matter how many times you ask me I will still say this thread is stupid. That's it. That's my opinion and you have yours. I agree to disagree with you. Good night mate.

Exactly, I said it had created some good discussion, ie us admiring Cassisi for his hard ball gets and the inspiration that would provide his team mates but you said you didn't think it didn't.
I can't for the life of me work out how that isn't positive discussion unless you have real issues with Port Adelaide?
Confusing and weird especially when you wont explain it. :?
We don't agree to disagree about anything, Im just wondering why you're so negative on Dom Cassisi and wont explain it, why comment at all then if you're just going to be negative and bag it?

I could have done that at Port last year......

Proabably couldn't have done it for Arno Bay's B grade so your comment is really just pointless and is so far off the mark it isn't even remotely funny.

My point was Port were considered to be very dissapointing in those areas in 2009. Dom was the best of a bad bunch in that dept....and indicates further that if they are his stengths as skipper he's lacking. Never going to be a game breaker, kick that important goal type captain. A first year rookie can chase and tackle, captains are meant to be elite.....

Just remind me. Who was that Port player who kicked the winning goal against Geelong at Geelong in 2007 in the dying seconds of the match? I believe it was the only match they lost for the year or perhaps one of the two they lost. Nonetheless, does that count as kicking an important goal or what ?
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

I half expected a reply Jabber ... While he's not the cause, the off field stuff at both WCE and Carlton while he has been captain doesn't look good. Put it another way, would you see this stuff happening in Sydney under Brett Kirk?

Anyway, I know you support the Blues just as much as the Bays so I don't mean to provoke an argument, just my 15,000 foot observation.
