Egads, they're going from one of the best jumpers to possibly only being better than the Power, awful, a real step backwards.

And those mongrels have gone out and finally got themselves a decent guernsey, even if it took a seven year old girl to sort their shit out.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

SAFooty's resident Fitzroy expert RoyLion is on BigFooty explaining this is in detail. Suffice to say, you are right. The merger agreement says the "Fitzroy Lion" must the logo used by the Brisbane Lions. There's debate about whether this means the 1965-1996 logo in exact reproduction or whether it is allowed to evolve. The agreement just says "the Fitzroy Lion logo" apparently.

RoyLion said there could be a supreme court challenge by Fitzroy FC (which still exists as it was and plays in a lower league) however the FFC website says they want to voice their concerns without resorting to court action.

I hope I have got the right story here.

It'd be for the lawyers I guess, but to me "Fitzroy Lion" means the lion as represented on the Fitzroy logo. It doesn't just say "lion". FFC people have every freaking right to be upset. It'd be like WWT removing the green from the guernseys.

I like it. It's great. As logos go Barto, your dockers have a shocker so who are you to knock other clubs.. "Wankers with Anchors" would have to be the most ridiculous footy concept ever considered not to mention their hideous colours. They'd be right at home in the Christmas pageant along with the other clowns.
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

They've set that jumper up for obsolescence from the outset. It's a crass, gimmicky design that won't last more than two seasons.
