Well, I for one wish him luck, and hope he actually plays well this time :)

So do we, a 3rd premiership medallion would be great for Cam! He's my son's favourite player and wears his 21 guernsey with pride!

PS Ive got some gardening and odd jobs around the house that need doing. I'm busy again this September so is there any chance you could help me out? ;)

Essendon officials will meet this afternoon to decide if they will contest any of the three suspensions handed down by the AFL Tribunal in the wake of Saturday's clash with Hawthorn. Matthew Lloyd will be sidelined for four weeks if he pleads guilty while Patrick Ryder and Sam Lonergan will miss one match each with an early plea.

If:
Franklin = 2,
Lloyd = 4

Then
Bateman = 10.

Clearly the Hawthorn players felt it wasn't an accident :shock: There's some footage which shows Lloyd may have been pushed into it but it's a loose argument from what I could see.

Clearly not pushed. Hopefully he gets 6.

If Essendon try to use that as a defence (and they will), and the AFL accept it as mitigation, then we will finally have evidence that the AFL plays favourite and bends rules to suit themselves. Shoenmakers did have a hand on Lloyd's hip, but any force from that contact wouldn't have made Lloyd suddenly sprint 6-8 paces and cannon into Sewell, who was in the action of straightening up after picking up the ball.

Nope, Lloyd cannot defend himself iin this one, but somehow you just get the feeling the AFL has one more trick up its sleeve.

It's a classic, Franklin, the man who can't win a free kick versus the perennial diver who gets looked after by officialdom as if he were their love child, and whatever Bateman gets for belting him will be worth it.

You were saying??? Gee, Matthew Lloyd has been offered 4 weeks, shock horror, maybe the system is equal after all?

4 weeks for Lloyds was expected. I dobut they would contest that.
As for Ryder, well pretty hard to contest that, its right there in front of you. Lonergan is right there was well, im not sure what evidence they can use to get those 2 off.

So really the big winners here are Adelaide.

ESSENDON has decided to accept all penalties handed down by the AFL, leaving it undermined on Friday night.

The club decide not to challenge penalties for Lloyd, ruckman Paddy Ryder and midfielder Sam Lonergan at the AFL Tribunal. In fact, all players charged yesterday accepted their sanctions.

Well, there's not much point making the finals if you can't win them, so the Hawks are having a month off. If the Cats are relying upon Mooney to get them through the finals, you may be getting to the gardening a lot earlier than you would hope.

Would not want to be one of the top 2 teams for 3 years and only walk away with one flag.

It will be tough for the cats without Steve Johnson, not only does he get himself a few goals he steps up quite a few as well.
