For Ports sake I'd like to see them get Hardwick, as I think he is the type they need.
Buckley perhaps, but I, too, think his priority is the Collingwood job, and therefore he may not work as hard for Port in the meantime.

On July the1st i stated Choco had a week left, i wonder now wheather the board are regretting not making that HONEST tough decision they really wanted to make, Instead they were sitting on the fence hoping & expecting Choco to knock back the contract they tried to make difficult for him which inturn blew up in their faces & saw him agree to a 2yr deal, where to know?
The Powers form since then has been deplorable & their are alot of red faces at board level down Alberton.
Choco's contract may well of been reduced 2-300k a year from $800,000 but i think he'll still come out in front as i can't see him completing his 2 year extension, if their form continues, like i think it will Port will terminate his contract & pay him out at the end of 2010 $1m which will put him $200k in front after 12mths.
Can it get any worse?

This was a point being made on the radio the other day. The board were totally gutless. This decision will haunt the club for years if there's even a skerrick of truth in the stories of players feelings towards Choco.

With their financial problems, would the league ask questions if they flush away money like this?
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Barto, I think you're right. There'd be a lynching if the Power blew $1m just like that.

I'd fall over backwards if Haysman let that happen. He'd have to resign over the backlash.
In between signatures .....
