Hawthorn Season 2009

Talk on the national game

Hopefully the break recharges the urgency- cos it doesnt appear to be there for the full game from all on the field.

Our best is good enough, sadly we are nowhere near it at the moment.

Yep, the Hawks are crap this year no doubt. Still at least they won a flag for their supporters. Hawthorn don't have sooky, tosspot supporters like St. Kilda though. We don't just jump ship and disown our team because it's no good. At least i can say i saw my club win flags whereas all you can do is say i gave up on my club because they were sh1t and you didn't have the dedication to see it through. Spine and less come to mind.

Had to laugh, Sunday Mail reported 4 injuries to the Hawks (plus 2 who pulled out* before the game), yet todays Advertiser States Injuries "None".

LOL

PS not happy with the hawks form, our skills are half what they were last year..

I agree with rod though, don't have a crack at other teams (especially those who have won a flag!) when you are too gutless to stand by your own side.

It would be pretty damn funny if the Saints won the flag this year.. you will be back on the bandwagon by the last quarter.

Surely tanking now. 84 points down at half time   Are the Hawks that bad or are the Bulldogs that good? I'd love to think the Bulldogs were just that good but unfortunately whilst they are a pretty good team i'd say that the Hawks are simply terrible

First time i've been gratefull for the ridiculous TV arrangements that see the Crows live on both Fox and 10 while the other game isn't shown at all.

True. But they're still the reigning premiers something 15 other clubs aren't.

The Hawks were on some serious :weedman: last year, Franklin getting 100+ goals & the club a flag.
Maybe the 3 strikes policy has hindered their progress this year?
Franklins having a sh!tter as with the rest of them.

Bulldogs Fullback Brian Lake thrashed Hawk forward Lance Franklin by keeping him goalless for the first time in 62 successive games.
