Macca19 re Pearce:
I only heard it over Internet radio, but didn't he go fairly well when he replaced P Burgoyne on the HBF in a recent match?
From what I heard then, I thought perhaps Port had found his spot.

I'd have thought Surjan had potential too, but otherwise I think your list is pretty right.

Who's going to pay money to watch a second rate Port side play? Especially against Melbourne.

How many Booneys out there are going for a round of Golf, watching Foxtel or going to the movies instead of watching the Power prepare for 2009? Maybe they are even going back to watch the 'real' Port, the Magpies who are going full tilt for a finals berth.

No business can afford to alienate it's core customers and this is what Port Power might have done this season.

I have missed 2.Collingwood last Friday night after finishing work at 7 and the Carlton game as I left for Melbourne early on the Monday morning after the stupid twighlight Sunday fixture.

(That is also a personal protest as I avoid the Sunday arvo lategames.I dont like them and dont want Port to have them)

Currenting 78 points in front of Melbourne. Fremantle lost. We will not only move above Freo on the ladder but most likely go above them in % as well.

As a tank, I rate it -10 / 10

Thats exactly right, it was a horrendous tanking effort giving we won by 12 goals, and Marlon showed a bit of potential. So yeah minus 10 out of 10 is a fair appraisal.

Melbourne are very Victorian establishment, so embarrassed silence is the rule.
Also, they and their supporters haven't done anything to provoke hostility here.
