Good quarter for the Crows ... Don't think they have the petrol tickets to get home from here, but I guess they've given themself some hope.

The quarter might actually be more significant for next week and beyond, as they found some urgency and better run and touch in many cases.

A few things to ponder on tonight:

- Crows 3 or 4 fringe players have made some skill errors and bad decisions - That happens because it takes time at this level to adjust, but they'll need to build these kids up over the course of the year.

- Particularly early, the Crows gave away a couple of silly free kicks through indiscipline, especially via Tippett and Walker .. No biggy but they need to get on top of that.

- Crows tackling was one of the key area's last season they were behind Geelong, St Kilda, Collingwood and Bulldogs imho .. They are still getting brushed off too often tonight.

- Will require good planning to bring back in the likes of Maric, Porplyzia and Knights who will no doubt be a bit short of touch as several have been tonight.
