Last two goals to Weightman from free kicks.

First one for holding was there, second one for push against Merrett was disgraceful

Is that 6 of 7 goals from frees?

How the **** is that second one a free to Weightman? What was it for exactly? Ridiculous free kick!

Weightman has 3 of the softest goals you'll ever get, but, the Bombers cannot kick to a mark.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

That 2nd last goal which was kicked from the behind post to the far goal for a mark barely went the 15 when you consider distance between each post is 6.4 m.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

On the plus side, at least we can all continue to watch the “how many days since Essendon won a final” continue to click over…
1961, 1971, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015.... And don't you forget it!

Turned it off halfway through the third. Zero chance against outright cheats.

Do you reckon the Essendon and days since final wins Memes are in high production ATM?

Doesn’t bother most of us. 17 failures every year. Final wins are meaningless if you don’t win the flag

Two have been good Williamson and Rosebury, the former NEAFL umpire though…

Has done my trick, looked for free kicks rather than letting the game flow and picking the obvious ones.

Methodical win by the Dogs, wouldn't want to be in the same half of the draw as them.

Brisbane will beat them by 10 goals.

You’ve got to be happy with the improvement Jim. You bagged them all season yet they made finals. Lots of encouraging signs

We know it though.
I don’t know a Bombers fan who tipped us this week.
Plenty of neutrals got sucked in by the media.
The Dogs were top 4 for most of the year and we are realistically a bottom 6 side who strung a few wins together to scrape into the 8

Yes and no. Pretty soft draw but made up for by playing the most interstate games of the Victorian sides.
Still got far too many duds on the list but you can’t move them all on in 1 season. I’d think we may go slightly backwards next year as we move a few more on and hit the draft hard. Our timeline was always to be a genuine chance in 2023 to 2024 hope we stay true to it and don’t try to short cut the path
