There wasn't just the one spud named Zac out there today.
The influence of former Crows and Power players was profound, Burgoyne, Gunston and Pearce all fantastic in the 1st half. Pearce was junk all day, and was probably the worst performance I have ever seen in a grand final
Buddy threw himself around like it was his last game. had pretty much no influence at all...
Lake a worthy Norm.
Hawks out tackled and out pressured freo.
Rioli the best exponent of the chicken wing tackle, which 99% of the time earns you a free kick for holding the ball. The other 1% earns you a holiday. dog act
You are more likely to get a goal from a free kick if the ball is in your forward 50.
Ross Lyon will never win a flag
If Buddy stays Gunston wins the Coleman buddy wont stay
How many games for Suban? Only 2 things worse that that, eye gouging( ala Judd) and faking ( ala Malceski, Walters)
Mitchell a fantastic team game, 7 tackles. you kidding? got an absolute bath from Crowley.
Bailey was good in negating Sandilands influence again I thought sandi was pretty good
Our worst 6 were far better than their worst 6
It was as easy as i predicted it would be, perhaps not in margin but Freo never seriously challenged. did you go out to the shops in the 3rd qtr?
If Buddy goes you's will have to put up with me being right again on this day for another 2 years
2014 Hawthorn def Roos 127-98
2015 Hawthorn def Suns 139-85

very average GF (probably the worst since the bombers played the dees) but good work to the hawks

The not so great one's observations

Freo bottled it. So many sitters missed. You can't do that against Hawthorn
Hawks below their best but got the job done
Sorry daisy but Crowley squashed Mitchell
Tough Normie to pick because the Hawks put in an even team performance..I thought Gunston stood out
Freo had difficulty defending the wider ground. I still believe Ross can win a flag as Freo kicked themselves out of it.
The Wallabies have been getting away with throwing the ball all year. You can mark down Mitchell for three a game.
There were was one holding the ball rule for Hawthorn, another for Freo
Cyril should get weeks for that Chicken Wing. The one handed tackle is effective but that was the first time Ive ever seen him pull the arm so far back.
The best team won the flag but **** that was a shit granny.

Pearce had a huge game for the Hawks, very stiff not to win the Norm Smith

45-44 Inside 50's, would imagine that is one of the lowest aggregates for a match.
Yes it was a shit game and Ross and his shit game style can f@!# off.
Once Roos fails at Melbourne hopefully we will never see this style again

Same, no real thought went into it though, just thought $101 was too good to pass up when Lake was going to have no real opponent all day. Now I get my new BBQ earlier than expected. I'm going to call it Brian.

Was happy to see a defender win the Norm Smith. Thought Lake was hardly beaten one-on-one all day, but then was able to take contested marks in his team's defensive half, win contested ground balls and peeled off his opponent to drive his team out of defence. A worthy winner.

They will win 5-8.

3-4 at most unless they get in 5 or 6 guns at trade time.

Lucky to win 1.
Who is going to be anywhere bad enough to lose to them?

Don't need to be a miracle worker. Look at Hinkley.

Hinkley had a base to work with.
Had some decent players who obviously just hated playing for Primus, they still had enought talent and underachieved over the last 2 years.
Melbourne wouldnt have more than a couple of players who would get a game at any other club.
Cant see Roos turning them around that quickly, 2-3 years time who knows

Is Brian Lake's wife Shannon, the daughter of former Seaton Ramblers player Mick O'Malley?

Melbourne have the same base to work from. Maybe the players didn't want to play for Craig and neeld. And bailey.
