And on all those occasions he has only played one good quarter and been completely unaware of what has been going on?

Wow, how did he get drafted then....?

three times against Central he didnt play one good quarter.

Only played 2 good quarters against the Eagles in the prelim (the two good ones were very very good)

Was ok for four quarters against South but who didnt play well against them

The two games against the Bays i saw him he was average at best and at most played one good quarter in each game.

He is a forward pocket isn't he? Always hard to play 4 good quarters in that position! Its about making an impact when they get the opportunities to!!

Well done to Phillips. Killed us in the Prelim. Good to see these guys get in to the AFL system after busting a gut in the SANFL.

Would love to see the likes of Callinan, Ty Allen, Jarrad and Grocke get picked up as well to see how they would go.

Reckon there would be at least a dozen players in the SANFL who could walk into a starting 22 at AFL level and play every game next year.

So Griffin went to Freo... Good on him...

Will he knock off Johnson for the back up role?

Definitely. Johnson can spend more time either in the forward line or in the WAFL.

Freo were desperate for a recognised ruckman to take the heat off Sandilands as Zac Clarke is at least another year away.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Good to hear.

Will be good because Maric definitely got the number one spot over him (Griffin) when it seemed like a race, and now with Jacobs coming in, and hopefully with Moran to develop as the third, I'm glad he found a trade and will get a good run.

I tried to draw him a picture of one along with a map but he always ended up on the bench for some reason ??? ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Johnson will move back to CHB and should play there the whole year, because he is a natural CHB.

Maric IMO is a far better ruckmen than Griffen, might not have as much talent as Griffen but is certainly a better ruckmen and has been of better service to the Crows.

The Crows ruckmen will now be Maric and Jacobs, who is an excellent pickup for the Crows. These two will work together well IMO and will complement each others game in the right manner.

And Brad Moran?, what a waste of time. Barring injury, he'll never force his way back into Adelaides 22, because he can't find a permant position and due to the fact that he's just not good enough at an AFL level.

With the new substitute rule, does this mean a second ruckman can no longer be carried on the bench? Collingwood, appear to have pre-empted this rule and only played the one recognised ruckman with Leigh Brown successfully playing the supporting role. Is this the new model for teams (for the next season or two anyway)?

I can see the substitute being a utility type player who is capable of playing small or tall and in most positions. Thoughts anyone?

Depends on what sort of ruckman your team has.

Carlton for example have Warnock, probably straight out ruckman, Hampson, athletic bloke still learning the game, can play forward, and then we have Kreuzer. He can play anywhere like a ruck rover sort of position such is his ability.

Carlton will play Kreuzer up forward more next year, ruck Warnock, and use Kreuz as a second ruckman.

Sauce is more a ruckman, and not much chop elsewhere, hence why he was looking at moving as his ability around the grounds were less then the other 3 blokes....
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated
