Hawks are embarassing the Eagles now.
Very impressive game by them, looked like they were out of gas at 3/4 time but they have smashed the Eagles this quarter.
West Coast very undisciplined

Would say it flattered Carlton considering we had 7 more scoring shots and played without a ruckman all day.

Really? Thought we had the upper hand most of the afternoon. Take nothing away from Coll, was a real good, tough game of Footy that they were to come out on top. But to say we were flattered suggests you didn't see much of the game.

And I ain't a huge j bootsma fan, but ya can't hang the kid on today. Mind you, some probably blamed him last week, which is also wrong. I'd have duigan ahead of he and j laidler, but doesn't matter much now.

If I was a north supporter I would be spewing especially playing a team that train in that weather once a week.

You're kidding? If ya get 7 goals up and the rain sets in, who in their right mind whinges?! Both clubs played in it, north coughed it up. Spare me.

...and 8 more free kicks

Yep, a few of these were baffling. Murphy right in front of goal didn't get a high tackle free but yet soft ones were paid inside 50 for the scum. If I went back through the tape I could pick 4 inside 50 that were paid to the scum that were dodgy to say the least.

Really, not having a ruckman today wasn't the biggest impact today, the lack of defensive work on small forwards was the concern. Blair and Elliot killed us all day. The big guys, Lynch (when up forward) and Cloke were really well held but our half backs and back pockets lowered their colours.

In saying that, I had Walker for first goal so I'm not completely upset, because I didn't expect us to get that close considering the team we went in with.

Can't blame the umpires today.

The boys got nervous towards the end, Murph and Judd were exhausted and couldn't drag us over the line. Mclean the sub was an interesting choice, considering he is the slowest player in the AFL, don't think he will be wearing the vest again anytime soon.

Kreuzer was awesome though. One of the best games I have seen him play.

Oh, I agree. The umpiring was an element but not "THE" element. Picking Laidler and Bootsma in front of Duigan was bizarre given that Laidler was underdone and Bootsma was inexperienced. Having Rowe play his first game against the Pies was interesting - mind you I think he did well. Having McLean on the bench was intriguing. I think if Mick had his time again, he'd match up a bit more ferociously on their small forwards because they got under out guard.

My mate, a Crows supporter has Kruz in his ultimate footy side and he's now taken notice of the big guy and can't believe his athleticism especially below his knees.

Johnno had his colours lowered by Yarran, ended up being a day for the smalls- losing Jolly hurt us, but perhaps not as much as on a dry day.
We have some quality to come back in, and having players like Ball, Thomas, Krakouer and Beames in that side, I feel we would have won with conviction.

Kreuzers game was severely overrated. He was playing against a second string ruck man only, and Lynch was absolutely pivotal in the last quarter. Lynch was one of the best for Collingwood. He may have not won the taps, but killed Kreuzer around the ground IMO. Lynchs game was bloody terrific and underrated

That was a great win for Hawthorn yesterday. The AFL didn't want them to win that game but they did.

He can sook, but dont do it in public. Have a grizzle to the CEO and ask them to get answers, but dont do it out in the public forum.

Has looked a sore loser two weeks in a row now.

Yeah agreed. In fact given we are only 2 rounds into the season there have been some great games of footy, and some great wins with teams having their "backs against the wall"

Essendon over adelaide, gold coast over the saints, the dogs over brisbane were all very good games to watch.

Then you have the obvious- richmond v carlton, hawthorn v geelong, geelong v north, collingwood v carlton. All high quality games where the result wasnt really decided until the final minute or under.

I'll say ive really enjoyed the start to this season from a neutral perspective. We are experiencing a very even competition IMO, with only Melbourne appearing as an absolute disgrace early on.
