It's not rocket science mate. He signed a contract that was lodged with the AFL knowing that the full details of the deal weren't outlined in that. Tippett is a money hungry dog that is guilty as the Crows in this. The only just and fair punishment in all of this is that he gets deregistered for a period of at least 12 months or longer.

Your reply has absolutely zero relevance to my original question. It's not rocket science mate.

Undisclosed third party deals fall under a salary breach. He signs a wavier to say that everything he is being paid is in his contract submitted to the AFL, if that is not true then it's a breach of what he signed. GUILTY.

Understood and he should be punished for that, but he can't be held responsible for club going above the salary cap.

Loving listening to crows fans trying to justify their innocence.
Any timeline given for the final ruling?

From what I understand, the extra payments didn't actually put the Crows over the cap. The payments if declared would not have caused a problem. It's the fact it's been done in secret that is the issue, something that all parties involved in are equally guilty in.

This would assume that Tippett and his management knew the AFC wasn't declaring their side/third party deal... is it realistic that they didn't know?

Is it up to Kurt Tippett and his management to ensure the AFC are doing everything above board?

Why would they not declare them then?

I don't think we know yet what Tippett and/or his father and/or his Manager knew or didn't know, etc, etc.

That said, the fine print of the article talks about Tippett's role in the draft tampering part, not the undeclared payments part ("Tippett is exposed by the draft-tampering clause in his side deal that called for him to move to the club of his choice with Adelaide demanding no more than a second-round draft pick").

I agree, if the Crows are banned from fielding a team for 12 months. After all, it would be fair and just.

I think the crows only came out about the extra deal because they had info on folau leaving GWS. If the AFL deregister him then they should deregister the Crow as well. The funny thing is if the crows had to play every game next year for zero points, the away team would feel like playing at home seeing no crows fans would turn up.
