Great game for 3/4 and umpired as expected. Selwood, Bartel and *cough* Hawkins very good for Geelong.

Well done, Cats.
Great win and well deserved. Gutsy in its own way, as well.

Never, Brisbane won 3 in a row. That puts them on a differant level

When you look at how the 2008 grand finalists have gone since you could argue that Geelong let one slip there big time and could have had an era of 4 premierships in 5 years including 3 in a row. It would be hard to argue convincingly one way or the other then. However, I think it is hard to argue convincingly one way or the other anyway. I think 3 premierships and one GF loss over 5 years is comparable on paper to Brisbane's 3 premierships over 4 years.

Well done Geelong by the way

What a fantastic effort and win! I thought Collingwood would win by 4 goals.

And to think they did it without arguably their best player from 2007-2010. I wonder how he feels tonight?

not sure how- the Pies were not convincing in either finals wins, & Geelong steam-rolled every team in their way.

I felt Collingwood were the better side however I underestimated the impacts of the respective fitness and the recent form of the two teams which, as you say, indicated Geelong would win.

Just an opinion, they did play in 4 consecutive GF's. Only 4 sides in the history of the game have won 3 in a row so I consider 3 in a row greater than 3 in 5 years. To me win/loss doesnt count for much, look at us in 99,00 and 01, 1 premiership to show for being the best side over 3 years

Scott out coached Malthouse today.

The move of Lonergan to Cloke, Taylor to Dawes was a match winner.

Then Malthouse left Reid to get pasted by Hawkins all afternoon while Tarrant could have easily gone to him once Pod was subbed off.

Perhaps it was a little more complex than that, just what i saw.

What are the names of the people who were appointed to choose the next Senior Coach of Port Adelaide again, who passed over Chris Scott believing Matthew Primus to be a better candidate?

For a first year Coach to hand Malthouse a lesson from the Coaching box is surreal! Hope Sanderson listened and was mentored well over the year!

Congrats Geelong!!!!

Brilliant performance today, such a great team effort.

Bartel was magnificent and deserved NS.

Hawkins though stole the show, he was dominant and his contested marking was insane.
