I thought Eddie Maguire told us that Collingwood was propping the rest of the comp up?

Eddie is the Donald Trump of the AFL world.

Sadly, he would see this as a compliment.

Charlie Ballard confirmed ACL rupture and will miss the remainder of the season. Big blow for the Suns.

The butt hurt on social media about Darcy Moore becoming the AFL Players Association president is nuts.

Some of the comments are deplorable

Haven't seen them but my initial reaction was he seems like the perfect type of guy to lead them (experienced, smart, empathetic etc)

Exactly, I couldn't think of any player in the AFL that would be more apt.

He speaks very well and seems to be intelligent (for a Collingwood player)

Similar criticism to what Pat Cummins received but the “gay” connotation I found really quite vulgar

Think his a good choice.

Seems smart enough and big picture enough to understand that whilst his role essentially is to get players paid more / do less, that the big picture is that without the fans/ tv audiences/ attendances the income in the game dries up pretty quickly.

I agree. That suggestion, opinion should be put into the scale of what's best for the game (ie, it's not!) and in the end, more games and more or similar game time is what the TV stations want. More ads, more money!
