Schoey will continue on where he left off in 2015, and Spangher will be the likely player to replace Lake.

Is Tim O'Brien ready for league footy, or will the Hawks go for an untried Ryan Burton, who has been training really well by all reports?

Dont think there is any other player in the whole league who can replace him, the most versatile player in the comp IMO.

Reckon we drafted 2 key forwards this year, Burton and the other one's name escapes me, sounds like we must have known this would happen ;)
It may juts mean he is replaced with another midfielder, if you remember back to last year it was a structural change we made for the GF with Gunston coming in and Hartung going out. Until that point for a majority of the season we had played only 2 out of Gunston , Roughy and Shoey. Might mean that Firzpatrick gets a crack. I think of the newer players that Sicily will get 1st crack

Surely after four years on the list, it's time for Tim O'Brien to step up.

good kid
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Amazing club this one, the team first mentality extends right to the top, you would think a president at any other club in the same position would hang around for the glory of the 4 in a row.

Can't do anything but admire them, haven't made too many mistakes when big decisions needs to be made in the last decade.

In his prime fair enough - although I dont think the Brownlow argument adds anything - I don't know of too many that would pick Goodes over Carey.

This isn't about Carey, not a lot are but he was a one, maybe two position player.. It's about Roughy and Pavlich and versitality!

How is a Brownlow argument not important?

Sorry Wubby, Goodes' best was excellent, but IMO Roughead's best is better.

Because a certain group of officials thought he was the best player in a season doesn't make it fact .. He was a great player, not denying that, but this decade Roughy has had him covered (and comfortably imho). If we're using medals then Roughy's Coleman probably deserves a mention too.

Goodes and roughy are different players too. Roughy (and pav) are forwards that have enough agility and endurance to play in the midfield.

Goodes is a pure utility, more like thou whose name shall not be spoken from essendon
