Selfish Goodes. Nothing more for him to achieve. His list of achievements is massive. Didn't put the club first. Bloods culture.

Been wanting out for awhile now

Not really, his decision was based 100 per cent on what Adam Goodes is doing. If he had retired he would have stayed

Has been speaking to atleast 2 clubs for a couple of months now

Under the impression he was going to go if Goodes stayed?

I think he was more than happy to stay if opportunities were coming. Either way good move to leave IMO

Congratulations to Luke Parker- winning his first Bob Skilton medal.

Won it by 50 votes from Josh Kennedy, with Buddy Franklin finishing 3rd.

Ridiculous

Being punished for being smart and using a rule that the AFL designed. Laughable actually

Perhaps but it almost seems the AFL is protecting Sydney from themselves.

From what I can tell, they arent banned from trading players in, the next 2 years - its just theyve ruled that their COLA will be removed if they do.

So the option is still there. I would imagine.

As a critic of the concessions afforded to the northern states clubs over the years, I think its the first bit of common sense on this issue, that the AFL has used for years.

So the afl are punishing the swans for the rules they bought in!

No - they're attempting to put them on an even field with the majority of the other clubs.

Still have the academy to dismantle yet :)

Surely there is a better way of doing business then this? Surely GWS would be under the same situation?

I don't care if we lose cola, I can accept that. But to restrict trading is very poor form... We haven't broken one rule and the afl do this.

I'm fairly sure I read that Swans can trade in, but lose COLA early if they do.
