Chaplin has been OK, not a star but filled a void for us and his disposal has improved.

Edwards, Pettard were only rookie list picks and I expect them only short term gap fillers. Grigg is good against ordinary teams but struggles when we play good teams, Houli is much improved, Hird desperately wanted him to stay at the Bombers.

The following players really went missing yesterday:

J King, D Martin, S Edwards, B Ellis, J Riewolt, S Morris.

The challenge is to make the 8 next year, we haven't made consecutive finals since - 74/75.
