It is all a bit silly and petty.
In his situation I, probably, would have taken the $1million a year job too, but I like to think I'd have been a bit more straight up about it.

If he ever kicked 10 against the Crows he'd probably outscore the entire Power team when he met them...
I do think he is only one or two more episodes of concussion away from having to quit the game, if he has any brain left at all.

Can someone please explain to me how Kurt Tippett is guilty of salary cap breaches for the Crows and why he should get punished... does he have control over the overall salary cap of the footy club... It's not up to him to ensure the club is below the cap.

No Kurt is in the shite for incorrect third party arrangements. Of which the rules are clearly stated.

Well indirectly it is salary cap breach. As they would be required to count it...

I can't believe the call from Triggy was the first time AD had heard about the Tippett clause. Caro broke the story back in 2009.

None of this excuses us BTW ..... just saying

No the trick is not to officially underwrite those deals. I wonder how many more crows players are Underwritten on 3rd party deals.

Didn't AD state publicly he and afl had no knowledge of any gentleman agreement 3 weeks ago re: Tippett.
So when trigg confessed to its existence he was making a liar/fool out of ???????

AFC/Trigg has had 3 years to bring this up and instead they tried to deceive everyone. A fact The clubs president can not even deny.

That's why they should get a 3 year suspension IMHO.

Do you seriously think that the crows are the only side that benefit from 3rd party deals? The dumb part is they put in writting that they would get one to happen. I agree with you on that they didnt fess up until they knew it was going to come out fully anyway, kind of like my son hitting his sister then saying sorry right away, when I try and punish him he says "but I said sorry!"

I think when all is revealed the crows are going to cop something large, the AFL does not like these deals but have never really had the proof that they happen, if we give them the proof they will come down hard. I dont think it will stop it happening though. The Bombers were accused of something just this trade period with Goddard gaining employement with Toll, whose chairman is former Club Chairman of the bombers. Or Chris Judds deal with Visy. None of these have any official link with the clubs and they insist they didnt incite them, I am sure it would happen at all clubs in some way. The Crows, they put it in writing, I think the AFL will be stoked that they have an opportunity to make an example of someone.

Nope never said crows are only club in afl With 3rd party arrangements. They are the only ones stupid enough to underwrite 3rd party arrangements but not declare they did. Which is why they are in trOuble.
Using the same logic do you seriously think Tippett is the only crows player receiving these payments Tex.

I agree the afl will make an example of the crows. Premiership points being deducted for next season would be a great start IMHO. Not even Adelaide Oval can save them now

They may be able to strike a back door deal with the AFL to sit tight for being made a public example of while being quietly compensated for their cooperation with soft draws for the next few seasons - like 3 matches against the Power, GWS, etc..

Maybe not but if there is such an agreement I hope they did it like the rest and were smarter about it! Premiership points may be a stretch but considering current list draft picks may not really be a massive punishment this year or next so you never know I guess.

Who is Luke Thompson? :?

I think the cows should be stripped of all draft picks for next few year, fined the same amount of money Tippett was getting in his 3rd party contract & 200K on top of that and they should be made to play for no premiership points next year, like the Melbourne Storm :D

It's not rocket science mate. He signed a contract that was lodged with the AFL knowing that the full details of the deal weren't outlined in that. Tippett is a money hungry dog that is guilty as the Crows in this. The only just and fair punishment in all of this is that he gets deregistered for a period of at least 12 months or longer.
