Here is one thing I don't understand. Why did Hawthorn let Hodge play with no tape or bandage over his cut in the 2nd half?

Plenty of Respect to Sydney. I can;t believe how the Hawks let that slip when they were 11 points up and looked like they had all the run. Then Sydney just willed themselves back into the contest. Clinton Young keep your feet you idiot!!!

Anyway Sydney, tough and never giving up all day. Much Respect!

Yeah. And Jude Bolton has a torn ACL. You would have to think he would retire. He could have Lars I guess.

Alastair Clarkson's press conference and his speech at the Hawthorn Post Match Dinner was one of the best I have heard from a coach. He is much maligned at times for his temper as shown a couple of times this year but he and his club should be very proud of how he spoke considering the pain of being a GF losing coach in a tight game could cloud your emotions.

Well done Clarkson.

What you don't rate Cornesy's after the 1990 GF???
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Cornes was one of the most (if not the most) condesending losing coaches of all time!

You mean this 5hit?

""It is not anywhere near the loss of something like what happened to Jill Meagher last week or a brother-in-law that I lost this year through cancer, a brain tumour, or what happened to Jarrad McVeigh's (infant) daughter (who died) last year."

I had a look at the AFL's official rules document, on line.

I reckon it said something like "Brisbane's and Sydney's salary caps will be whatever we choose it to be".

Its actually quite farcical that this can happen in a "professional" sporting organisation.

They appear no more to be making up BS clauses about CPI oran allowance to keep players at the club who may want to return home interstate. They're just saying they'll just make it up as they go along, and do what they want.
