Would Brett Ratten be good for Port?

IMO he would be a better fit than an Eade or Wallace type.

No thanks for Ratten.

Burns would be fine, although I've heard conflicting reports on whether he's interested.

I really do think they could do alot worse than Ratten, If Malthouse wasnt available Carlton would keep Ratten.
Some of Carlton's wins later in the year have been fantastic.
Who knows they might even get him for nix in the 1st year given Carlton would need to pay him out

Not sure if Ratten would have the passion to coach elsewhere to be honest.

He has failed to get a collective team of high draft picks & Chris Judd into the finals... Massive failure

They will be huge improvers if they get a decent coach next year

They shouldn't of got to this stage anyway, they are a better side than what they've produced.

Rubbish. Missed the top 4 last year by the fact that West Coast had a great year and came from bottom to hit the top 4, then went within a whisker of a prelim final by losing a final over there by less than a kick.

Then this year, our entire backline has been missing due to injury, and our FF, our rucks haven't been able to get on the ground, and that's the coaches fault.

Gimme a break.

Judge the entire season on what's happened during the entire season and then we have some context.

When fully fit, yes. We haven't even been close to fully fit this season. Our first three games we had our best team on the park, then the first 2 minutes of Rd 4. Then up until Rd 21 we only just got back to our best unit on field.

Losing to GC with the team that was put on the park on Saturday would make your statement somewhat redundant.
I do believe you guys have been hit the hardest by injury this season but also thought you had the depth to cover and be a bit more competitive on a consistent basis.
I think there's some form of breakdown between coach and players that needs to be addressed, maybe he's too close to them, maybe he was too raw or too young.
I like the guy but think they need to find a harder more seasoned coach before their window passes.

So your full side can't beat the Gold Coast and for the ENTIRE season you 2 games out of the 8 with 11 wins and 10 Losses.

Are you saying they have done well this year?

I thought I spelt it out above, but obviously not. In context, we've done well OVERALL this year considering the injuries we've had. Last week wasn't good (no sh*t sherlock) but overall we've had a decent year considering injuries.

No it doesn't. If you read my above post, I've said you have to take things in context. Saturday was abysmal but these things happen over the course of the year. We in no way should've lost on Saturday night but like Ratts said, if you have 11 shots at goal between your FF and CHF you'd expect 7 or 8 of those. We got 2.9 from them. Is that his fault?
