Obviously haven't umpired, you blow the whistle to get the players attention then proceed with the request. You'd spew if your player got a 50 against him for not getting back because he didn't hear the umpire.

No I certainly haven't but perhaps I should define what I mean. I don't see stepping slightly over the mark as 'something wrong', I'm more talking about when a free kick or mark has already been payed or the whistle has been blown for a stoppage and say a player has pushed/elbowed another player or called the umpire a useless c*** or has stepped 3 or 4 metres over the mark and then there will be a warning. If it's not a free or 50 it is a complete waste of time 'warning' them.

Probably been mentioned, but the idea of clash guernseys.
Last week, Hawthorn wore their god-ugly white strip vs Carlton. What clash is their traditional guernseys?
Then Adelaide and Richmond wore their traditional guernseys against each other. Not necessarily confusing, but a lot closer than Hawthorn/Carlton.
Last night, Carlton and Collingwood wore their traditional guernseys, backs of dark blue and white numbers, the other black with white numbers. Very confusing, or perhaps my eyes are going.

I'd rather all teams wore their traditional guernseys against each other, especially these days where mud is a fond memory, but if they are going to have clash guernseys, then at least make them when they are required (know Eddie's stubborness etc)

I know it's probably a good thing but the amount of times they have reviewed goal umpiring decisions tonight. 5 times is a little to many imo, but I guess it is better to get the decision 100% correct.

I dont think any one of the reviews gave a definitive answer, the same during todays game. Get rid of it and go with the goal umpire. Who cares what the boundary umpires think they got one terribly wrong in Rich/Melb game

Agreed days. Eddie Maguire was going off his nut that was GOLD. The goal umpire gets it right and then the boundary umpire pipes up and makes it wrong. Ridiculous!

Players with their socks down.
It looks sloppy, untidy, lazy and unprofessional.
