I actually felt good for the old lady in her Cats gear sitting in front of me. Being a football fan I can hardly imagine living from your 20's until your 70's ( I would have gussed that was her vintage ) and not see your team win a flag.

I was happy she was enjoying it. Its footy mate, what goes around comes around.

Unless you follow St.Kilda,Western Bulldogs, South Adelaide, Glenelg..... ;)

Oh yeah, I'm sure you were happy for her. Now I've heard it all
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

Mate, if I could track her down, I would. I gave her a hug and wished her all the best for the drive down the freeway and the night ahead. She was in tears half way through the third quarter. She kept looking at me saying "Now I know how you felt 3 years ago. Now I know..."

Good on her. Reminded me of my Mum in '04, watching Port Adelaide achieve the ultimate on the big stage. My Mum with me in 04 and 07 and my son. It's all about the good times and the bad, sticking with your team regardless.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I look forward to seeing Varcoe up the ground more next season.
He will be the next star midfielder at the Cats.
Rarely makes the errors most flamboyant players tend to make.
Hope his shoulders stay in one piece.

I'm glad you've got Hawkins and Lonergan on the bench.
Both ordinary players.
1st 18 looks pretty good though.
