Who’s on the list?

Isn't Noble wanting to go down the path of a CEO, rather than that of a head coach?

Lions support Noble backflip on North coaching job

A fortnight after saying he was unlikely to entertain the prospect, David Noble is actively engaged with North Melbourne as they search for a new senior coach.

The Brisbane Lions football chief was sounded out by the Kangaroos as part of their hunt to replace Rhyce Shaw who parted ways with North last month because of personal reasons.

Noble declared late last month that he was no longer focused on coaching, aiming instead to become a chief executive officer down the track.

"No, unlikely," he told AFL Trade Radio when asked if he would entertain a call from the Kangaroos about their coaching role.

"I moved ... up here to broaden my skill-set from an admin perspective and would like to see my path is still moving to that CEO role. That's the direction I've clearly taken. I'm heading down that CEO path if I can," Noble said.

Why?
Untried coach again?

He’s obviously been a journeymen but wouldn’t he add more value as the CEO or similar?
What’s his strengths?

I knew him from when he was at Glenelg. I’ve a mate who’s in contact with him regularly, without breaking confidence, his knowledge, know how & drive are exactly what we need.

He would be excellent. Had some dealings with him at Glenelg and when he was first at the Crows.

Very competent and credentialed man.

Its no surprise the Crows have gone backwards since he left.

Cheers
Never heard a bad word against him.
He sounds like he’ll add value in whatever role he takes up.
