Correct 2001. Got smashed by the Lions in the prelim. Spud was coaching at the time.

Surely they're not thinking of offering Chaplin 4 years?!

Yeah this would surprise me. Chaplin is ok but just ok. They really need a second forward.

And they got rid of Jay Schultz, who can kick goals with the Power's crappy midfield!
Unless they throw a boatload of cash at T Cloke, is there really any other forward that is going to give immediate impact that is moving on?

Really hope we don't chase Chaplin. Silvagni at Fremantle seems out of favour, is out of contract, and I would take him as a player over Chaplin any day.

Kel Moore & Brad Miller retire.

Glad Brad's gone, reckon his Mrs will be missed around the club though.

Big Kelv was a decent player before injury struck him down. Could have had a solid career otherwise I feel.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

I reckon Richmond should go after big Gumby from Essendon.

Would only have to give up a 3rd round pick I would have thought. Very injury prone but worth the risk & a change of clubs might do him good.

Has to be a better option than Vikery up front.

Thoughts?

I like the Tigers this weekend.

Won 5 of last 7 against Freo, including twice at Paterson's Stadium I think.

I cant see us letting him go just yet. Have put a lot of time into him and the club wants to see what he can do with a full season under his belt. He had major back surgery after being told he would never play again and I still hope we can see the best of him

Got the win but gee it was just plain ugly. 1800 Ninth is looking good. Very ordinary game, skills not high and Cotch had a terrible night skills wise 0.5 I think.
How Shane Tuck can't get more than a 1 year contract stuns me. Class act and hard at the ball.
Jacky Boy needs to lead and not try and body opponents.

Need a second forward to allow him to lead and an experienced defender

Recruits have been good in the last few years with the recycled players (Maric, Houli & Grigg)

We are close but must finish the Bogans off next week. % in the positive this year which is a start in the right direction.

GO TIGERS!!!!

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Pretty fair assessment FE .. I backed the Tiges 40+ about halfway through the 3rd quarter, and within a minute they extended their lead to about 31 points .. Got there in the end but the buggers made me sweat for it!!
