I was only reporting, not writing anyone off. ;)

Actually, while you were posting that I was off taking that $2 on offer. $150 @ $2 GWS to win a game. They cant go all season and not win one.....can they? 8-[

Go Giants.... :D

Giants tie up youngsters

GREATER Western Sydney has made a promising start to the difficult task of retaining its young AFL list, announcing on Thursday that five of its budding stars had signed long contract extensions.

While there has been plenty of discussion around further uncontracted players who could be enticed to western Sydney, with the club confirming this week it would not be making an offer to Travis Cloke, the retention of its current crop of players could be a more important task.

And that job is well underway, with Dylan Shiel, Tom Bugg, Adam Tomlinson, Matthew Buntine and Adam Kennedy all extending their current deals until the end of 2015.

Of that group, only Buntine is yet to make his AFL debut, and he has been selected to face the Brisbane Lions this Sunday.

Nice one Boon. Glad I'm not a bookie. I thought they'd be no show to win one this year. Perhaps you should put some of that hard won cash on to a similar bet for the Gold Cost.

Don't like hearing about young lads with injury after injury, especially when they are big lads. He looks a monster, doesn't he?

I'm hoping he is the key forward they desperately need.

Imagine Scully and Coniglio in that middle, sharking taps from Giles, with that beast up forward?

Bugg and Phil Davis down back, guys like Tyson and Shiel floating around, and unlike GC, there's a premiership dynasty coming.

The pick of the bunch, isn't he? Looks silky smooth for a bloke who plays as tall as he does.

I'm not sure about a dynasty for either GWS or GC, GWS more likely, no doubt, but I think they are really benefitting from having the on field leadership they have now with the older heads, that wont be there in 3 years time so they need the kids to rise quickly. Alot of pressure on those kids to not only perform but be leaders.

Out of all the guernseys GWS have, for me the best one is one they wear in the NEAFL where they play as the UWS Giants

CHAMPION goalkicker Matthew Lloyd has cast doubt on Israel Folau's future in the AFL, and fears giving the rugby league convert ''token'' games could stifle the development of young Greater Western Sydney forwards Jonathon Patton and Jeremy Cameron.
Lloyd, who mentored both Cameron and Patton as juniors at the Australian Institute of Sport, says playing Folau would only ''get in the way'' of the Giants duo becoming the league's most lethal one-two punch in the future.

Well GWS knocked up another win, over third expansion team Port Power.

Jonathon Giles is playing well again, and is going to be a premiership ruckman in this side.
Tomas Bugg who had been a good backman starred with three majors.
Tall timber Jeremy Cameron was another foacl point with 3.3.
Stephen Coniglio could win a Brownlow.
Toby Greene (31 disposals) is a ball magnet.
Devon Smith has shown outstanding skills over the past fortnight.
Adam Treloar has come from nowhere to be a gun.

And that is not to discount the games of The Chad, Filthy Phil, Power, Scully or Ward.
