Also consider the match ups that the likes of Carlile can play on now and there really isn't many.

would gold coast dump eade for kenny, does kenny have the energy in him anymore to develop a 3 year project infrastructure to build a finals/premiership side? looks tired to me

if port bring in stewie dew, dean brogran and a victorian specialist tactical coach in october will next year look so bleak? would next year be on such a knife's edge

You're making excuses now mate, Port have shown at stages this season that they still are capable of winning, and they should still be good enough to account for Brisbane.

Ryder & Schultz have hardly played this year, Hombsch has missed however many games, and Trengove has been out of position most of the season. Dixon is the only real one that is a significant loss to the playing group in recent weeks.
