And to think the Crows supporters at the pub were laughing and telling me I was dreaming when I disagreed with them that it would be a close match.
Hope they're there this arvo.

I built my sportsbet bank up. Hawks didn't pay enough to bet on them. There was always doubt with the crows. I thought of putting the lot on the crows. But I thought we all got swept away with fairy tale during the week. Hey Go Crows. Its good be able to assess whats happening. I will probably end up doing my money but its a bit of fun.

I don't think Camps is on the list but thanks Scott. Most of Australia rode with you.

Agreed.

Not potting the crows in particular as it happens every year, but seriously when will the media learn not to get carried away with the form of elimination finalists in week 1.

Considering since the new format was introduced in 2000, only 4 sides have gone out in straight sets- much more respect needs to be given to the losing qualifying finalists as they are after all, top 4 for a reason.

The Hawks looked back to their best last night after a bit of a reality check last week, and with Gunston to return (?), next week shapes as a cracker preliminary final!

They have to produce some sort of hype i guess.

Never really gave the crows a chance last night but i thought it would be closer for longer. We got smashed last night.

Don't get me wrong, Benny- I have no issue with the local media giving the crows a bit of a pump-up. The clincher for me was Caro declaring the crows a juggernaut. Yes they were in good form, but the signs were there against the Bulldogs that they were far from a juggernaut- such as conceding 65 I50's.

our form was very good in the last half of the season. Probably the form team in the comp for a fair while.

The problem is, in finals, players who have replicated those skills time and time again in pressure situations come to the fore. Hawks were just too good by foot, and their pressure on our younger lads was immense. Those lads will learn from that, and will hopefully be better for it. Players like knight and cameron have shown that they can be good AFL footballers, but task is before them to start doing it more consistently. And I have no doubt they will to be honest.

We finished about where we should have I feel. If you look at the ladder, if we finished any higher than say 5th i would have said that was a massive overachievement. I feel like 5th to 8th were pretty even, and a step below the top 4 sides. Geelong and Port were probably a bit further back this season, so i feel like our ladder position accurately reflects our season.

Winning a final should probably be considered a good season for the crows

Yep, I'd be dirty if I followed Sydney. Closest thing to a neutral ground in the league.
They don't have much to whinge about at Sydney, but basically giving up home ground advantage to go there is rough.

I still reckon Sydney will win it from here. They haven't fired a shot yet.
