What is going to happen to Fev if he isn't traded? Will they make a statement and de-list him, or will they keep him on and amend the clauses in his contract so they has more restrictions than our water users have????

Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett on SEN just then states that Hawthorn HAS NOT offered Port Adelaide any premiership players in the deal for Burgoyne or will offer any premiership players in the deal.

We received him in a trade for a bloke likely to be delisted, so he came a bit cheaper than both Thompson and Hay :)

Schulz is poo.

Brown would've seen some writing on the wall when Hawthorn chased Gibson as hard as they did, wouldn't he? They're almost identical players size, shape and position-wise.

He has had a bit of AFL experience, so will come in handy when Tredders retires. Matthew Westhoff may not be up to it, or at least will need another couple of years, and Salter is probably better suited to a flank or pocket.

If Schulz is fit he could be looked as a legitimate key forward (full forward) unlike the majority of the club's other forwards. It also means that blokes like Justin Westhoff and Salter will know they have to perform otherwise they won't get a game.

I think Pag summed it up perfectly before "he's poo" bottom line!

Hawthorn's Campbell Brown has refused to be traded to Port Adelaide as part of the Shaun Burgoyne deal, leaving both clubs in limbo.

Schulz can't get a regular game in Richmond's side as a key forward or defender for the last six years, and despite Richo being injured all year, he's has had mid-sized guys (Riewoldt & Morton) overtake him in the key forward pecking order in 2009, so it's fair to say his 'impact' won't be missed all that much from Richmond supporters points of view.

He may not dominate, but there's a gap in Port's squad for a key forward in their mid 20's with AFL experience. He was traded for Farmer who was likely to be delisted anyway, so it "cost" very little. If it involved a second round draft pick it would be a big deal but as far as i'm concerned its not a bad trade.

So Melbourne will pick him up if he nominates for the November Draft? Or are you hoping he just goes into the PSD?

No need for Melbourne to do something stupid like that, when they have the No. 1 pick in the Pre-Season Draft...
