Bloody good game last night. Swans were so good around the contest and the defence was strong.

As much as Papley is a little shit, his energy and work rate in that forward line really turned things on its head when the ball was coming in. Considering that Franklin was well held as well, the swans still found avenues to goal.

Something I said earlier was how Luke Jackson went missing, I mean really missing. That meant that they needed Gawn to push forward but also ruck as Brown wasn't giving them alot up forward. And also Picket started well but was closed down after 1/4 time. With the exception of Fritsch Melbourne forwards couldn't really impact the game.

It will be interesting to see what changes Melbourne make for next week against Brisbane.

Sydney look the real deal, their pressure all over the ground was outstanding. You're right about Papley. He also adds a lot when he goes into centre bounces. I can't see Melbourne panicking too much because they'll think they have Brisbane's measure. Gawn will dominate with the big O out. It will be interesting if they gamble on Tom McDonald, because Ben Brown and Weideman just can't get it done.

Petracca has a hairline fracture in his leg after hurting himself in the first quarter (not from his collision with Lance Franklin) last night but is set to play in the Semi final against Brisbane.
