Surely that gets dismissed quickly. As you said two blokes going for the footy, Thomas braced for protection throughout the process, should get thrown out in 2 seconds

Historians of the game.. do we know why "in the back" was introduced when it comes to tackling? was it safety? Do we actually need it? Players (myself included) are at various times guilty carrying the tackle weight forward to trick umps.

Has he had too many head knocks?
- It is deadset dangerous to get pushed in the back while running.
- You cannot perform an accurate kick while being pushed in the back.
- You cannot brace yourself for the contact you are going to receive if someone is about to push you in the back.
- It would be pretty simple to push someone into the fence , coaches box, crowd or goal post.
Ridiculous comment.

Is he trying to differentiate a tackle in the back and a push in the back eg he specifically said when it comes to tackling.
Does that change things slightly.

Members of the SA Footy fraternity getting restless at being made to wait for the review.

I have limited experience at Marvel/docklands.JK wrote:Jim05 wrote:I’ve heard from some members that a group had organised a boycott of the game to stick it up the AFL.RB wrote:I think it's pretty pathetic that they could only draw 18k at a venue 2km away from the MCG along the railway line.
Is Docklands that bad? Surely you'd still rather see your team play footy than not?
Members of MCG clubs hate going there as it is because they are used to their regular seats especially older members.
Personally my home seats at Marvel are some of the best seats I’ve experienced anywhere around the world and love Marvel. It can be sterile at times but if it’s a close game even a smallish crowd can make a lot of noise
Think that was evidenced yesterday, where despite a poor game being played, the atmosphere was excellent in the last quarter due to the close nature of the contest.
