Port v Crows elimination final looking the likely scenario?

That would be a massive game for SA football, surely the AFL would schedule a clash like that for the Saturday evening?

To be honest, I think the Crows would be the one side Port would prefer to avoid in an knock out final.

Did a rough ladder predictor.

Sydney v Freo in Sydney
Geelong v Hawthorn

Port v Adelaide
North v Essendon

This was including wins for Adelaide v Collingwood, and the teams below them on the table and loss to the team above them.
This match in particular is pivotal to Adelaide's finals chances. A loss and ninth looks very real.

Would be a cracking 1st week of finals if that was the draw! Could toss a coin to find the winner in each game.

If Adelaide lose to Collingwood, they'll miss the 8.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Not trying to sound facetious, but if Port played Adelaide in the first final on a Saturday afternoon, would the game sell out? Would be in the middle of grass roots finals games.

Agree they'd be the most difficult opponent for Port to face in an elimination final IMO.

That would be my ideal result.
Our game would have to be played at the MCG which effectively turns it into our home game, we play the G far better than Etihad and North are the opposite

Yeah we would rather play the Swans at ANZ rather than the SCG. Last time we played at the SCG ..... Wait I'm trying to forget what happened ;-)

Sucks there's only 4 games this weekend, but pretty handy they're all hard to pick and have big ramifications for finals, with a blockbuster in there for good measure.

I'd go:

Eagles, Lions, Hawks, Pies but like Spargo, 0/4 wouldnt surprise

I think most expected last week to be ho-hum and riddled with blowout results, perhaps the blowouts will be this week? Brisbane v Gold Coast is the only game I find hard to see where a big margin might possibly occur.

Yeah last week was the best "boring" round in ages.

And I'm not sure I even agree with your last part. Brisbane have been playing much better footy over the last month and Gold Coast the opposite

Rockliff in/Ablett out
Playing at the Gabba
Reckon I'll go Brissie...

As for the others - ???????? Eagles @ home, Sydney (forward line too strong), Adelaide (Pies have big outs)

0/4 beckons

Tony Armstrong replaces Toovey. We officially will put our worst side on the park for years.
