What annoyed me as the holding the ball against Port when it was dragged in, when 3 seconds earlier Port should have had a free kick paid to thm. Ended in a goal to the Crows...likewise when Butcher got done for a throw, yet a few Crows players such as Dangerfield appared to do the same thing but weren't penalised.

Just on Dangerfield, he is clearly reading and believing his own hype. Disposal efficiency very poor, cant believe how highly he is universally regarded.

The Crows would be better of trading him for some picks, same themself $1m a year, ans get rid of his FIGJAM attitude.

Meanwhile Sloane is a gun and should have replaced Van Berlo in his own right as captain.

Bavk on the frees - 23 to 17 in the Crows favour shows they dont have much to complain about.

Think dangerfield was still sore from last week. Watched the replay this morning and noticed every time he got a tap it looked like someone had belted him, I've seen him take a lot harder hits and get up pretty quickly.

Do you really believe that he reads and believes his own hype.

I bet he goes out there and tries to get the footy, like 43 other blokes.

Spot on. All players have fluctuating levels of confidence too. To suggest it's because he's believing his own hype is more likely wishful thinking.

Boomer stars again (he will easily play 400 games), Ziebell all guts , Dal Santo was a ball magnet. Not many shining lights apart from that. Take the win.
Won't get close to port next week on current form though.

I honestly think that a lot of the players were sore from the Geelong game - its a pretty tough draw to get the Cats at home and then follow up with the Power a week and a bit later - no doubt the Power were better for the longer break between their first two games than the Crows were. Having said this, it did not make a difference to the result in the end IMO- maybe just the margin with the Powers superior fitness showing in the last quarter and a half.

power's fitness was great, but it was their skills that really were the difference. the crows just didnt hit targets going forward. and the handball was to flat footed players, so it wasnt generating the run it was supposed to.

huge game against sydney. if we win our season is right back on track with St Kilda, GWS, Melb, Bulldogs after that, but if we lose it will be a hell of a lot tougher.

Still sore after 9 days? Surely there's better excuses than that?

You'll be lucky to win two of those games.

No i don't. All I'm saying, is don't count your chickens before they hatch. The Cows have been useless and if you're thinking you're in for an easy four weeks after the Swans game, you could be in for a huge surprise.

Never said it was going to be a cakewalk, but it's definitely easier than our first 3 games!

I was trying to differentiate between equal to 2 and more than 2. Call it 1.6 games then :)

Port showed our run from the back half has plenty of damaging options. Hartlett, Polec, Boak and Ebert ( who was once questionable with disposal ) are all very damaging by foot. Give Port a break or turnover and you will get burnt really quickly.

Schulz, Westhoff, Wingard ( is there a more exciting prospect in the AFL at the moment? ) Gray, Monfries and even Butcher ( who I think plays the role he is asked ) offer a very challenging match up for any opponent, even more so if you just hand us the ball in the midfield. That group will score quickly and heavily. Throw in Boak, Ebert,

Adelaide's skills and forward half execution was appalling. Podsialy is a liability once the ball is at ground level or being run out of defence, I maintain my stance of him being a flat track bully, McKernan, did he even play? He had 4 disposals at 38% efficiency in just over 3/4 of football. Josh Jenkins must be scratching his head....( I assume he is fit and ready to play ). If Jenkins isn't fit I suggest sending out the 19th Man, they hardly had anything to do on Saturday they won't be sore at all. "Will the 19th man please shut up, please shut up"

Adelaide Oval looked an absolute treat. My seats are about 8m from both food outlets and a bar in the City View Room of the Riverbank Stand. Excellent spot.
PAFC. Forever.

Think I seen Polec had 90% efficiency with his kicking? That's remarkable!

Butcher I still dont think very much of, but having said that if a side wants to underestimate him and put their focus on Schulz/Westhoff then you can just see him popping up and ripping a side to pieces.

Given their increasing depth in the midfield and run off half back, I dont think Ports forward line gets as much credit as they possibly deserve, definitely have a group that stretch and test the depth of opposition defences.

Who is to blame for the crowd not being at capacity? I believe it was a sellout, I know plenty of friends couldnt get tickets but there looked to be empty seats which is a pity

People being lazy too lazy to go or other things came up. At my work people were trying to sell off tickets on the Friday or had spares.

Also on the Port motto "We will always show up", personally i prefer the other one "We will never give up"
