AFL Round 10 - Sir Doug Nicholls Round

Talk on the national game

How many times did the Hawks smalls drop the elbow into throats or chins when on the ground. No wonder Holman and Noble got so angry.

Not to mention the constant flopping, the Newcombe/Miller one was ordinary

The one a few years ago when Mason Redman took Ginnivan's head off, and it was called play on, should have been the watershed moment for ducking.

God, I love that clip!!

Sadly, as in nearly all the rule crackdowns done by the AFL it was "rule of the week" and quickly forgotten. Ginnivan, the midget Watson, the knob with the stupid rat's tail (not sure of his actual name) and Moore all have legs like overcooked spaghetti when a tackler approaches.

This should be the standard we play by! (posted twice cos f@#K Ginnivan)

I hate it when my boomerisms kick in early with a "back in my day" comment, but fair dinkum...

Could you imagine this crap back when players could actually shirtfront each other? I'm talking early 2000's, even. Watson leaving the game on a stretcher would have been a weekly occurrence back in the 90's.

If youre a shit tackler and dont go low we will expose you every single time, Watson has the advantage of being 4ft tall, of course he's going to cop high tackles. How bout learning how to tackle at the hips. So what if we train it, you should train to tackle better. Watson is an absolute star of the competition, look forward to watching him become one of the best small forwards ever over the next 10 years
I just hope the umpires keep paying what they see and dont get sucked into social media talk from all you "experts", protecting the head is the most important thing in the game right now.
Not sure what Holman was upset about, Miller took Newcombe high. I guess Holman can only dream of being half the player Newcombe is. Gotta act tough just to hold his place in the team. Was plenty of iffy frees to Gold Coast as well last night, the one to Long in the last quarter to gift them the game was no different to any other on the night.
The whinging from you blokes is out of control.
Anyway I look forward to The Wizard and Ginni ducking into a premiership medal from the mini leaguers at the end of the year

No one else has beaten them in Darwin, not sure that a loss in those conditions to GC puts us out of the running.
Sorry but not buying into an Essendon fans opinion on what it takes to win matches in September :D :D

The only team of note your mob have beaten so far has been GWS.
Seven of your nine games have been against teams currently in the bottom 10 of the ladder, with the only convincing wins being against the Eagles and the Tigers.

Don't hand your money over to Sportsbet just yet...

Whereas I’m delighted yours has taken 2 decades and counting. You blokes must be due to sack another coach soon?
