Weitering seems to have drifted a lot with the bookies. Must have had a quiet month.

Mills to win but not by a mile I wouldn't think

Most media experts have a hard-on for Petracca, who no doubt will be a gun, but I wouldn't have him top 3 at this stage. Reckon Weitering is almost worth another crack at the $10. Need an IF, but IF he finishes the final rounds well he'd have to be a show still.

At this stage, personal opinion only, I'd be going Daniel, Mills, Weitering, but I haven't seen any of Parish who has firmed a lot.

Parish severely underrated because he plays in a shit side.
First year of footy and is thrown into the middle right from the start and is having a ripping season. Hasn't had the easy introduction that most others have and goes head to head with a gun most weeks. Mills, Daniel, Parish, Petracca probably the top 4 at this stage.
I'm going to get on Francis for next years though, plenty at the club reckon he is the best kid they have seen to walk through the club doors.

Do like the look of Francis
Turn it up on Parish Jim, nobody at Essendon has an opponent, they get to do their own thing every week, bet Merret has a bloke hanging off him next year when it matters. Think they tag Zaka for the lols

They tag Zaka because he has a pea heart and can't shake a tag so he is the easiest player on the side to shut out. Merrett usually is allowed to run free but Parish generally has a man. Woosha wants Parish to learn the game from the best so tries to match him head to head with the guns.
Merrett will probably cop a man next year more but hopefully that helps Jobe, Heppell and co

He is a reasonable chance.
It's usually a popularity contest rather than who is the better player though so who knows how voting will go

Probably plays for the wrong club too. One of the bigger Victorian clubs would have given him more of a chance

Daniel

Depending what stats.
If it's just disposals then yes but if you go by the ratings system I think Mills wins it

Daniel does get a lot of handballs and small kicks. He may not be flashy enough. Does use the ball well tho generally. Hope he wins it

Got a bit on Mills at $9 so hope he gets up.

Have had him in my DT all year so have watched him closely. Is playing in a good team but he just doesn't make a mistake.

Daniel isnt a first year player so doesnt show up in this list - but is 340th, so yes he does have the highest rankings points. (Though not sure if there are any other non-first-year players that are rising star eligible and higher than388th)

Some others that arent first year players.

Not sure how much this actually factors in - as others have said, seems to be more a popularity contest than anything. Fantasia Sicily Blakely Wright and DBJ have consistently contributed to their team but wont be any chance

Fantasia 312
Moore 377
Sicily 384
Petracca 406
Wright 417
Byrne Jones 470
Blakeley 475
