At sillyoclock in the morning there isnt much thinking being done above the waist.

I think the club will have to sack him....or put him on the long term injury list.

Will be interesting if he plays in the VFL. In his last game before sentencing he might throw a few hefty ones

I see Buckley has been given another 2 years, I would have thought they might wait and see how he goes this year. I know he has made finals the last 2 years but they seem to be on a downward trend...what do the pies supporters think?

I'm not completely satisfied with the decision.

However, I also wouldn't say we're on a downward trend - holding pattern, definitely.
We've recruited and traded really well over the past couple of seasons, getting rid of some tired or bad influences (hard decision to make - which is a plus for Bucks, in my eyes), so we will see some strong development over this season and hope to be fighting for the flag again in 2015.

Has to be given time to consolidate on the culture change and has a young list worthy of his development skills.

I reckon the Cats are in a similar boat.

I managed to get a ticket for the game on Thursday night, and was extremely surprised by how poorly Collingwood played in the second half.

Clocked missed a relatively easy mark in the first quarter, that seemed to set the tone for him for the rest of the night. Clearly a confidence player.

Swan looked a little disinterested.i reckon he may only have 1 or 2 more seasons left in him.

Was surprised by the listless performances of Blair and Elliott.

Was thinking Collingwood might become active in post season trading period, because they have some clear deficiencies.

In the second half I started to wonder whether there were certain issues that we're holding the club back - whether they be off field issues identified by Pert a few years ago, or perhaps a playing group and coach who aren't completely on the same page.

I agree with you GWW, to the Cows credit though they didn't allow Collingwood to play to their strengths but in the 1st half we had a midfield that was dominant in Pendles, Beams & Swan that had 60 posessions between them but nothing to show for it when we went fwd, its as though the mids lost confidence with the fwds in the 2nd half then lost interest in the game, Collingwood for some reason are handball happy & Cloke is far from the player he once was as far as contested marks & goals are concerned, maybe Buckley has to make a strong stance & drop Cloke to the VFL to find some confidence & rid himself of his EGO, the $1m dollar man ain't worth his salt as far as i'm concerned.

He wont get dropped!

We were just flat after the bye and cherry ripe for getting done. No need to panic.
Our possession winning mids in the first half got most of their stats at half back, then turned it over. Minimal forward 50's because of that.
Missing Reid pretty badly. A quick lead up forward that kicks straight.

Doesn't matter who it is, he can't be carried any longer.
When our mids went fwd in posession what did our fwds offer as far as presenting to space? sweet F.A. thats why it turned over.
When Cloke got in front he drops an easy chest mark, he leads far too wide too often, he needs to lead more in the strike zone ( corridor ) its probably why he kicks so many points.

Weeeeeee!

It was a pretty good game to be at, would have been bad to watch as a neutral, as skills were poor on both sides.

What has happened to cloke this year? His bad form of 2 years ago was due his contract negotiations, last year he was a gun. Is he carrying some sort of injury?

Talia did a great job on him but you would suspect someone like cloke to still get the upper hand on someone that has played 50 odd games of footy.

Was also really worried about Elliot as I didn't think the crows had a good matchup for him but he was well down too. Going forward you guys just struggled. Crows pressure probably had something to do with it but still, not what I expected from the pies.

Agree on Langdon too. Thought he played really well. Great find

Surely Cloke's due for a spell in the VFL soon, have never seen him so out of form, almost playing as bad as big old Quinten Lynch.
