I hope they have someone better locked in as from listening to Fox they are worse off than Melbourne at the moment off the field.

Presumably he didn't want to coach the last 3 matches. so technically he wasn't sacked.

Anyway, as you were ...

Finally someone agrees, been having this discussion. Wasnt sacked just wasnt reappointed/contracted

"Sacked" is used by the media to add the sensationalism.

If he wanted his contract extended and it wasn't then to me the effect is the same as being sacked.

They waited until his contract ran out and then made the D rather than doing it earlier but it's borderline pedantic to say this is different to any other "sacking".

Voss isn't a family member is he?

1 Finals appearance in five years with Roos possibly available and Melbourne and perhaps Essendon circling equals BANG.

Smart move really. The playing group appears at times to pick and choose when to go (a bit like my mob ACK).

An article I read said that having Voss continue as coach would hinder the club's chances of re-signing several of their players.

Appeared to not be overly popular with a portion of the playing group.

I was thinking more like Freo with Harvey and Lyon as that one came from left field as well.

Roos said he wouldn't even talk to Brisbane while Voss was still coach. Maybe they sacked him now so they can start talks?
