Not at all, sleeveless tops are tacky and can't be worn casually like most other sporting tops. There's no reason for it.
Hawthorn wore some in a pre season game and changed them at half time because they were restrictive for overhead marking. Wont happen.
I think you will find it was an overly-hot day (pre-season?), and may have even been up north (Brisbane), was more the factor than over-head marking being an issue
