I am thinking people would be suspended or told to take leave from work so there is no distractions at work especially in a workplace with female workers

At my work place you most certainly do get stood down / suspended for a variety of criminal charges until the legal process has fully run it's cours then the employer either re-instates or dismisses them. Quite simple really!

He was suspended from the Labor Party, but still sits during parliament in the Legislative Council
