The AFL will step in and financially help Melbourne find a new coach, the only problem at the moment is having to pay Neelds contract if he does get sacked.Being honest they have dug themselves in this situation and where other clubs improve after a few years of receiving early draft picks, the Dees have gone backwards, has to be more than the coach to go and unfortunately for the club will be helped again for being incompetent.

Dean Bailey hard done by, or what?Did what he was told by the top brass, losses his job and then gets kicked out the game for 6 months 2 years after.

I was embarrased by the decision makers at Alberton for a while there, with good reason, Melbourne fans have even more to worry about. Funny to think it wasn't that long ago someone on here said Port were in worse shape than Melbourne.

Is this peanut Australia's biggest media pest? Seems as though he has to come out with something ridiculous every couple of months just to get in the news.

This was the knob who wanted Melbourne to merge or move to the Gold Coast, I can really see him getting the gig

You bring Norm Smith back from the dead and it wouldn't help the Demons. How can a side with so many top draft selections over the past few years still not have a midfield? Yeah they lost Scully to GWS which was bulltish but these idiots have been recruiting guys like Watts, McDonald and Fitzpatrick for years.

When they finally do select a midfielder they get Toumpas and I reckon I'd be a chance to catch him...well, maybe not but he just doesn't have any zip at all from what I have seen. They let Maloney go, let McDonald go a year too early and they don't ORDER Sylvia to go on the ball instead of piss farting around on the forward line.

Fix the midfield and everything will fall into place. Richmond were in the same boat as them a few years ago and they are challenging for finals. It aint the coaching, it's the recruiting.

regards,

REB

Think they might as well stick with him now but if things are bad a month in next year, look out!

I feel for him a bit as in hindsight he took on a job that was probably going to end up nowhere else than where it did.

Not sure that Neil Craig should be 'rewarded' ... WTF has he been doing whilst Neeld has been drowning?
