Apparently beaten by John Worsfold in 2km time trial toady, ran over 9mins. Must be in good nick.

Woudn't read too much into that as yet, Dean Cox used to struggle running a lap of the oval without just about keeling over when he started out at the Eagles.

Fair bit different.

Cox is a giant and was in his first year of training, Newman played games last year and "had" midfield ambitions apparently. His time for 2km is disgusting for a so called elite footballer, and it doesnt help with this other mess he has gotten himself in. In good news Masten, Schuey and Scooter all came back in great nick.

It'd be a worry if he was racing Mo Farah next week but he's a footballer and the season is four months away.

well he wasnt that quick....what about greg williams wouldnt call him speedy either but he got the ball....i think the afl are just after athletes not footballers anymore who get the footy than just run quick times...i rather have someone that gets the footy than not at all !!!!!
