I reckon we're in s#*$. What would happen if Walker went down with a knee tomorrow? We had the luckiest year in AFL history ly. We are 1 key forward and 1 back up Ruck short from being a flag threat. We need to recruit smart in November and we'd have a genuine premiership contending side.

Sam Shaw moved to the long term injury list opens the door for Rory Laird to get upgraded.

I know its only three rounds in but im very nervous on what this year may bring for the crowies. Some big questions need to be asked, is Vince still capable of playing AFL footy? Is Callinan going to get another gig this year? Does Sando crumble when he starts to get out coached? Is Talia having a Rising Star hangover or is the broken wrist from last year hindering him? Can Jacobs back up the form of last year?
Patty, Rory and Matty cant do it all themselves this year, i saw a Crows side lay down against a youthfull, arrogant Port side that wanted the win more and as hard as it is to say it was good to watch. I hope Sando has a few tricks up his sleeve to get us back on the track of last year
Get that corn outta my face!!

I shook my head on the weekend when I saw all this and remembered my comment. Makes you sick in the stomach when a bloke with so much tallent goes down with such a serious injury. Mind you doing a knee is not as bad as it was 15 years ago when you could count on the majority of people doing an acl then not being anywhere near as good as when they first did it.

On a side note you can see why the bloke is so well recieved in the club when he is sitting there on the bench with a shot knee getting ice on it and he's still cheering on his team mates in front of him. Dumb as a brick but looks a very loyal man and you can see why he is so liked in the AFL player circles. After seeing that footage he got even more respect from me too....

Had the pleasure of talking to him on ANZAC day, couldnt get a more down to earth bloke. Came out to watch a mate at Colonel Light Gardens and was really impressed by him and the way he acted around the kids. Made the crowd cheer when he was picking up his dogs' crap on the oval

We cant win the flag this season and should start planning for 2014 now, to get a headstart on the opposition.

Delist Mckernan and Tambling at the end of the season would be a good start

No question this year hasn't been good but am certainly getting sick of these people who say we had a soft 2012 draw - Newsflash - when in actual fact a lot of people, including several prominent journalists, don't seem to realize that the following years draw is based on the previous year's result and we obviously had a shocking 2011.
Plus the fact that something like 21 out of the last 22 seasons, a side outside the 8 has made top 4 the next year with Essendon being this year's case.

Hasn’t been a good year at all. I think the controversy over the summer, and losing our 2 key forwards haven’t helped our cause, but ultimately we haven’t played good enough football. Positives to take out of the year would be the emerging talent that we have got 10+ games into, Laird, Brown, Crouch along with Dangerfield and Sloane stepping up another notch as elite players.

Looking ahead, we have to be active during trade period this year. Either snaring some experienced players or getting a high draft pick. Question is, what do have to give up to get...

The untouchables for me are: Dangerfield, Sloane, Walker, Talia, Vince, Smith, Douglas, Crouch, Laird, Jacobs.

McKernan, Otten, Jaensch and if we have to MacKay could bring some currency. .

What we need: Outside midfielder, key forward and crumbing forward

Good luck Nobes, go get them!

I think I would put Vince up for trade while he is still worth something. But Vince alone is not going to get us close to a top 20 pick.

What's happened to Kerridge? Had a seemingly break out game against north Melbourne and hasn't been sighted since. Would think he'd be one to get plenty of games into in a year like this.

Vince has elite skills, has shown in the last two weeks why he is valued highly at the club. Still needs more consistancy but we cant be trading blokes who can hit targets.
