Ahhh, so Geelong only won last year because Malthouse conspired to lose it for his own gains. Well done on trashing your club's premiership.

I was stirring the Pot. Honestly Geelong stood up and won that game we all know it but there will always be someone out there who will throw it around now.

Only idiots would throw it around.
Malthouse's value would only have increased with another flag. Why would he sabotage that?

Piss Eddie off for how he was treated we all know he agreed to the change but what if he changed his mind. Well he has proved that.

Strawb you're all over the place mate. MM was a shattered man at the end of that Prelim you can't say 2011 didn't mean anything to him.

The Cats had the fitter list on the day and Hawk got on top there endeth the lesson. No coach tank there my friend.

Waite in your top 3 at the club?

He is like Tippett, been getting paid on potential.

i agree to some extent that Waite hasnt fully reached his potential but i think alot of this was originally due to lack of supply, then he gets a good midfield and supply is good then gets injured, His importance to team structure is massive when he is fit he changes the dynamics of the Blues forward line and makes it look very potent,

How about the lie that he had nothing to do with the sacking of all assistant coaches?

...and only spoke to them for the first time last Monday!

In saying that, and I know Malthouse is a proven coach, have Carlton done due dilligence in searching for their new coach?

Clubs crap on about the processes we have in place etc...

Honestly, it's good to have one of the great coaches back in the game. Be interesting to see how progressive his tactics will be next year.

Boundary paint with extra staying power is currently being applied to Visy Park.

He hasn't been progressive in 20 years, why start now?

This is my point. Is he going to go with what was successful at Collingwood? I think the game has moved beyond a full-time press.

His Collingwood game plan was no different to his WCE game plan. He seems to be a one trick pony (perhaps because it's a bloody good trick).

Smaccer, I respectfully disagree. Very different style of football in his last two years at Collingwood compared to his stuff in the 90's.

In essence a defensive, boundary hugging game, though?

Point being though that he's not a no1 go-to forward. He is good if we can have him get the second or third best defender, but not the no 1 defender. If he took on a Scarlett or Glass, you'd back the opposition, depending on precise delivery of course.

True. Need a strong tap ruckman though, which is why he recruited Jolly.
