Adelaide kissed on the **** with their run home.
Adelaide v Hawthorn GF - Carn the Hawks
Brownlow - Thompson, Mitchell, Swan ( could be a two or three way* tie )
Rising Star - Tahlia. looks real good this kid.

Adelaide kissed on the dick with their run home, but they deserve it after where they finished last year really. Kissed on the dick yet you tip them to make the GF. interesting

Huh? What does last years run have to do with the draw they get this year?

They've had two very good draws in a row now. I think they'll make the GF because they will finish top 2, on the back of a soft draw. Then they'll get at least two home finals.

Little doubt they are a genuine contender, but their draw has given them a foot up with a top 2 finish and the other major contenders are fighting for spots pretty much each week from now until finals. After Geelong away they get :

Essendon and Freo at home, Brisbane and Melbourne away, Gold Coast at home. Kissed.

I'm pretty certain you're a closet Crows fan too. ;)

No doubt i am a crows fan if they aren't playing the tigers mate.

The crows finished very low on the ladder last year, and with the inability to play everyone home and away to make it a fair draw for all, clubs that finish higher the year before will generally play other high placed sides as there second games. Those that finish lower on the ladder generally play each other twice the next year. Obviously games taken into account are Showdowns, Carlton v Richmond, Essendon v Collingwodd, Derbys, Q Clashes and the likes...

The draw last year was supposed to be good but where did they end up? Not many people would have thought Melbourne would have been a third 'expansion' club this year...

Over the past 15 years no one has come from outside the 8 the previous year and gone on to win the flag the next year. On this basis I reckon the Crows will miss. Mind you as much as many may argue with an easy draw ect.... Has there been as solid team structured side as Adelaides this year that has missed the 8 previously?
West Coast LY in my opinion lacked a typical big Powerhouse forward. Adelaide has 2.
I question our defence under immense pressure if anything.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Just on that stat, weren't Adelaide the last team to buck the trend too, 1996 finished 12, won the GF in 97

On that note, these are the teams that play Melbourne twice- Brisbane, Richmond, St Kilda, GWS & Freo.

What! Since when have they been doing that? You're kidding yourself.

In 2011 Adelaide played Gold Coast, Port, Brisbane twice. In 2012 they play Gold Coast, Port and GWS twice. Pretty good draw there. Could pretty much say 6 wins there each season with Melbourne making it 7.

Port finished 16th in 2011 and play Hawthorn, West Coast, Essendon twice and only play GWS, Gold Coast and Melbourne once. Tell me how it works again?

Who else do port play twice and the crows?

They look after sides as best as they can with ladder positions Boon! Obviously with the financial driven industry that the afl is, they will make it better for some, but those that got to play Melbourne twice and the Gold Coast once could be just as happy (richmond supporters  )

Next year I guess part of your argument will be that you have to play the crows twice

If you have tarps instead of fans the AFL gives you a tough draw so they can make some money in September.

If the Crows make the grand final, they would want to avoid both Collingwood and Hawthorn. They would fancy their chances against Sydney and the Eagles though I would think.

 What an inane comment that is.
None would be answer.
I've done the predictor ladder many times this year and many times in the last month or so and come up with totally different outcomes each time, and will continue to do so. As I mentioned in my post, the season has many twists and turns left in it, be it injury, suspension or poor form. Obviously Adelaide don't stack up against Collingwood and Hawthorn in recent times but it was a moment of brilliance for you to work that out.

All I'll say is that I'm wavering between either, will have to wait till final selections. Due to my slim lead in my footy tips that's all I'm willing to make public
