At least he would have stood by his principals. I probably would have admired him more if he had.
He's constantly carping on about the HOF, let alone his constant jibes at the AFL and how much he thinks it's unrepresentative of Australian football and disregards non-Victorian football history.

Somewhat, he mentioned that this morning in an interview that there is some guilt attached to accepting it.

Ring him later and ask him if he is being a hypocrite mate. ;)

If he feels guilty accepting the award he could always dig a hole and bury it.

I'm sure others are lining up to do it.
Anyway, ringing him would suggest I listen to his show.

Agreed.

Still no Tom Leahy I see. That's what you get for being the best ruckman the country had produced prior to WW2 and not being Victorian.

Matty Connell and Matthew Liptak is the rumour. Well they both won Best and Fairests.

Archer and Crawford. Good solid players but Hall of Famers??? Nah.

I don't have a problem with Archer. He's regarded as embodying everything there is about his footy club. Shinboner of the Century and all that....

But, as much as I enjoyed his career, Chris Grant? Scott West will be next.

Cornes Into Hall Of Fame?

Postby the joker » Thu Jun 14, 2012 5:15 pm

How could people not think Crawf and Arch should be in the HOF
Crawford 4 time all Australian, brownlow medalist, premiership player, 300 gamer, MVP winner

Archer shinboner of the century, 3 times all Australian, 2 times premiership player, norm smith medalist, and second most games for North melbourne

I am not a north or hawks supporter. But for me they both deserve it
