Excluding the "Showdown" they haven't cracked 40k since 2005.

6 of the lowest crowds have come in the past 2 seasons.

Ah, but an extra 10k will magically turn up to every home game at Adelaide Oval from 2014 ... apparently. :-s

Im sure its all the SANFL's fault somehow. They really got 30k there but the SANFL fudged the figures to skim to profits ;)

Weather was too nice, people may have got sunburnt. How dare the SANFL put pressure (which they must surely have done) on the AFL to hold a game during the day in early April (sorry Booney, Macca, GWW etc, had a gutsful of some of those Port supporters on AdelaideNow comments

Yeah they just never seem satisfied no matter when games are played. Night games are too cold, day games clash with local footy or its too hot, when do you want your games?
The sad thing is they are not a bad side to watch, could understand if they played ordinary footy. At my sons school and footy club far more kids are running around in Suns or GWS guernseys which would be a little alarming for the Adelaide clubs because they seem to do good groundwork.

If geelong had a 50,000 stadium they would need covers as well. Especially against interstate teams.

I think its a great time to watch footy, you can do something for most of the day and still go to the footy and be home at a reasonable time for the kids. Dont know why people whinge about it.

Port are in real trouble if they cant get 25k to their opening game coming off a great preseason

If north played an interstate team they would have been lucky to get 20,000. I hope for the kangaroos that bellerive is full on the weekend.

B/S Geelong would still sell out a 50,000 Kardina Park. People would turn up no matter who the cats play.

In all fairness to the Pussy Cats their population is no where near half of Adelaides.

Times are changing and if you don't put the stadium near the cbd you will get f**k all to your games. Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney are close to cbd

North have, for simplicity, 1/9th market share in Melbourne. Port have 1/2 in Adelaide how can you compare the two?

Port came from a 1/9th base didn't they? In a state with a much smaller population, I think it's quite fair to compare.

So all Power supporters were staunch Magpie supporters and no one else can possibly support them?

If you want to argue the minutia, do you believe port have 50% market share in Adelaide?

The will do so in Geelong. Geelong people will rather see a home game in Geelong than in Melbourne. Geelong is Geelong.
