2011 AFL Grand Final- Collingwood vs Geelong

Talk on the national game

I am looking forward to the game it clashes with the Ceduna Oysterfest which I am involved so hope to get away to watch some of the game at least. I am tipping the Pies based on the Prelim was a huge wake up call and some of their players will be much better for the run, but wouldn't surprise me if the Cats won either.

It is a dream of mine to go to an AFL GF, got to ANZAC day this year, will have to spend the money one of these years.

Just got billed for 4 premium tickets, already booked a penthouse in Melbourne CBD, doing it in style. 8)

3rd Cats GF I've been to and theyv'e never won one with me there before so they're no chance. Collingwood by plenty!

Wedgie, did you buy a membership to ensure if Geelong made GF you would get a ticket?

Yeah mate, forked out an extra $700 to have my family ticket of 4 upgraded to Priority 1. Besides the GF tix it also got me a set of coasters!
Not too bad all up.
$450 for family of 4 Melbourne 11 membership
$700 to upgrade to Premiership member
$990 for 4 premium tickets

So basically $2140 all up, $500 a ticket.
Mind you I'm forking out 2k for accom this coming weekend as well!
Still all up a tad cheaper than when we all went to the Wallabies v Allblacks game in Brissy mind you that included a meet and greet night on the Friday with some of the players and air flights.

Kids are looking forward to After the Bounce at Federation Square on Friday night and IF we win we'll head down to the Cattery on Sunday too.

$500 a ticket is cheaper than the packages, $1350 for a ticket and breakfast and nose bleed seats.

Yeah true, I was stoked to see there's no premium seats in the upper tier of any of the stands so we're assured a pretty good seat.
I like the seats we had for the Prelim and I always try to get in there. 2nd level of Olympic stand, has padded seats and an esculator instead of stairs to get there.
I'm hoping for GF tickets near Meatloaf! :D

My seats will depend on how early I can get there to line up on Saturday with the MCC members, last years draw I was there at 7 with only an hours sleep, jumped the queue by about half ands still ended up right at the top. Might have a quiet Friday night this time and get there a little earlier :D Could be wishful thinking though

Rang up Ticketek and they were kind enough to tell us where we were, 20 rows back from front in the bottom level between the 50m line and the wing in the Olympic Stand, great spot! Best view I've ever had at a GF! :D
